A narrative of the Father’s love for a child,
seen through a child’s (and his muddied sheep’s) eyes.

Client: New Creation Church

The challenge here was to keep the puddle – how do we prevent water from evaporating under the scorching heat with no cover while making sure the soil didn’t absorb it all?

Solution: Trash bag! We buried a trash bag under some sand, added water, then topped it up with more sand to curate this little puddle.

The lalang our little actor was lying on followed us across many locations as foreground, background, prop, decor… We made full use of these grass stalks which we collected from an abandoned field somewhere. Shh.

(And yes, that’s me!)

Anddd here we have the heroes of the shoot. Each sheep for a different stage of distress. I even had a callsheep – ahem – based on the callsheet so we know at which point to use which sheep. This was critical; as with most shoots, we didn’t shoot chronologically, so we had to make sure that the right sheep was called forth at the right time.

(Unfortunately Mr. Backup on the far-right was called to be dirtied at some point!)
